Yes, you can enrol in the course from anywhere in the world as long as you have a device to watch it on and an internet connection.

Yes, within two weeks of successfully completing all assessments, your certificate will be posted to you. It's a hand-signed, official certificate that you are definitely going to want to frame and hang on your wall! 

• A device to watch it on. The course is viewable on all devices (laptops, phones or tablets) but we highly recommend viewing on something with a large screen.
• A printer. You will need to print out and complete some documents for your assessments. 
• Access to models to work on for your assessment (we understand with Covid this might not be possible so please reach out and we can try and accommodate you another way).
• Camera or phone to take photographs of your work.
• Time to complete the coursework & assessments (approx 2 days per week).
• Facebook (optional), to join the private group.
• Zoom downloaded on your device.
• Basic makeup supplies (not many, mainly mascara & eyeliner and whatever else you like to complete your assessments).

No, we have set intakes during the year, the same as any in-person college would, so you can only join the course during those set dates. The reason we do this is to provide you with an experience closer to that of a ‘traditional’ college with classmates all taking the course at the same time.  One of the biggest challenges of online learning is loneliness and isolation, so we want to make sure you feel supported and part of a group that you can share the experience with and cheer each other on. We facilitate that with a private Facebook group and group Zoom meetings. 

Places are also minimal; we have a small number of students per intake to focus on you and deliver the best service and experience. We want to get to know you and really help you fulfil your potential. 

When you purchase your enrollment, you’ll be sent a welcome email with important information about getting started, such as commencement dates, what you’ll need to get started and our contact information. We’ll also keep in touch with you in the lead up to the commencement date so you know we haven’t forgotten about you!

Just before the commencement date, you’ll receive an email granting you access to the online learning materials along with your login credentials. You will then be able to access the online system and start the course. 

Everything is housed on our private online learning platform. It’s beautiful, easy to navigate and very intuitive. You’ll be flying around the site in no time. 

The course itself is split into 4 modules and they are drip-fed so that you can focus on the assessments at hand. This means that not all the content is released at once, instead, you get access to the materials as and when you need them. This is to avoid feeling overwhelmed and to encourage the entire class to work on the same assessments at the same time. 

• The first two modules are unlocked upon the course starting on May 3rd 2021
• The third module is unlocked on June 28th
• The fourth module is unlocked on July 26th

You will also be provided with an assessment matrix that outlines all the important dates, like when the modules will be available to you and when assessments are due. The first lesson of each unit contains your learner guide PDF that you can download and print if you wish. This has all the written materials, diagrams and visual learning materials. Each unit also contains HD video lessons containing extreme detail so you feel like you’re standing right in front of the model. Under the video there will be additional learning materials, sometimes we link to additional resources and other videos so make sure you always scroll down

You will have access to your own google drive folder where you’ll upload the materials for your assessment projects. There are 4 assessments and you have 4 weeks to complete each one. We have fortnightly group zoom calls, the focus of which will be to help you to understand the learning materials and successfully submit and pass the assessments.

Simply purchase the course and you will be enrolled. You will have access to all of the learning materials on the course commencement date. 

We are a registered member of IARC, which is an organisation that vets learning institutions to ensure they are competent and professional education and training providers in the post-secondary sector including, distance, adult and continuing education. 

Accreditation is usually associated with formal government courses of education. As we are an international school and are committed to providing affordable access to makeup education to people who normally would not have it, we are not a government-accredited institution. If we were, it would be difficult to enrol as an international student and the cost would be around $15,000-$20,000. We would also have to teach particular units of study that the government has deemed necessary in order to award a qualification and honestly, some of them are quite outdated and irrelevant. For example, here in NSW, you have to complete a unit about cutting wig hair. For 99.9% of makeup artist, this is something you will never use. 

We instead decided to create a curriculum that’s up to date, relevant and useful for the industry today. We consulted with the Makeup Group Asia Pacific (MAGAP) to make sure that the learning materials will produce makeup artists that are fit for the industry of today. 

So you can rest assured although our course is not government accredited, we provide high-quality education and a relevant, practical learning experience.
