1. Who We Are

The Online Makeup School is owned and operated by Farrell Media Pty Ltd, an Australian company ("we", "us", "our"). These Terms govern your use of our website, learning platform, and any courses or digital programs you enrol in.

By accessing our website or enrolling in a course, you agree to these Terms.

2. Eligibility

Our courses are designed for individuals aged 18 years or older.

If you are under 18, you may only enrol with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian, who accepts these Terms on your behalf. We are not responsible for verifying parental consent.

3. Nature of Our Courses

Our courses provide cosmetic, artistic and educational instruction only.

They are not medical, dermatological, or professional health advice. You should not rely on our content for diagnosing or treating skin conditions or medical issues. Always perform patch tests and consult a qualified professional where appropriate.

4. Accounts and Access

To access courses, you must create an account using a username and password.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login details. You must not share your account or allow others to access courses using your credentials.

You must ensure you have the necessary device, software, and internet connection to access the platform.

5. Free Trials and Limited Access Offers

Some courses may be offered with a free or discounted trial period.

Where a trial applies:

  • You may be given limited access to course content
  • Your payment details may be collected at signup
  • Your enrolment may automatically convert to a paid enrolment unless you cancel before the trial ends

Specific details (such as trial length and access limits) will be stated in the Course-Specific Terms for that course.

It is your responsibility to cancel before the trial ends if you do not wish to continue.

6. Course Enrolment and Payments

When you enrol in a course, you agree to pay the fees shown at checkout.

We may offer one-time payments or payment plans. If a payment plan is offered and a scheduled payment fails:

  • Your access may be suspended immediately
  • We may terminate your enrolment
  • Any outstanding balance may become immediately due

We reserve the right to use third-party payment processors.

7. Refunds

After a paid enrolment begins, we do not offer change-of-mind refunds unless stated in the Course-Specific Terms.

Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under Australian Consumer Law or other applicable consumer protection laws.

If a refund is granted:

  • Access to the course will be revoked
  • You must cease using and delete any downloaded materials

8. Certificates and Completion

Some courses may offer certificates of completion. Certificates are issued based on our assessment of course completion and do not constitute professional accreditation, licensing, or qualification recognition by third parties.

We reserve the right to withhold or revoke certificates in cases of misconduct or academic dishonesty.

9. Intellectual Property

All course materials — including videos, worksheets, text, images, and teaching methods — are owned by us or licensed to us.

When you enrol, we grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-commercial licence to access the course.

You must not:

  • Copy, download (except where expressly permitted), record, screen capture, or reproduce course content
  • Share, resell, sublicense, or distribute materials
  • Use our materials to train AI systems or create competing courses
  • Share login access with others

We may suspend or terminate your access without refund if we believe misuse has occurred.

10. Acceptable Use

You must not use our platform in any way that:

  • Violates any law
  • Infringes intellectual property rights
  • Attempts to hack, disrupt, or interfere with the platform
  • Harasses, abuses, or threatens staff or other users

11. Student Submissions

Some courses require submission of photos or assignments for assessment.

You retain ownership of your work. By submitting it, you grant us a limited licence to review and provide feedback.

We will not use your images or work for marketing without your separate written consent.

12. AI-Assisted Support and Feedback

We may use reputable AI tools to assist with customer support communications and assignment feedback. Human oversight is maintained. AI is used to support service delivery, not to make automated decisions about your enrolment status.

13. Platform Availability

We aim to provide continuous access but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may update or modify content or platform features at any time.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from your participation in our courses.

Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the relevant course.

Nothing excludes liability where it cannot legally be excluded.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Where required, local consumer protection laws may still apply.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version in effect at the time of enrolment applies to your purchase.
